Across the fourth: A Post-modern Devised Piece

Across The Fourth marked my first foray into post-modern directing and devising. The goal of the project was to create about 20 minutes of content based on one word. The word: BOX! As the director and leader in the conception of the piece, I worked with my co-conceivers, who also served as the performance ensemble, to analyze every possible meaning of the word “box”. What we ended up with was a 22 minute piece that explored both the horror and excitement that comes from opening boxes, the boxes society tries to put us in, and the electronic boxes meant to connect us that take up an enormous amount of our time and attention. A Healthy Mind: An Immersive Theatrical Experience based on EDgar Alan Poe’s the tell tale heart

A Healthy Mind is an Immersive Theatrical Experience based on Edgar Alan Poe’s The Tell Tale Heart. The audience arrives at a house and enters through the backyard where they are greeted by their “guide”. The guide leads them into the house where they meet August Dupine a young man who has been accused of a horrific crime, the murder of his father. As the house transforms into an amalgamation of August’s thoughts and memories, the audience is forced to evaluate the evidence and decide whether August is truly responsible for the crimes he’s committed.
